Wildlife photography is my passion. To me, it’s one of the most difficult genres of photography to gain a mastery. No genre is easy to master, but some have their advantages… Studio Photography, you’re in complete control: lighting, your subject, your environment, you can shoot tethered. With Street Photography, you lose some control: Your subject is two part: the people and the city. The landmarks don’t move, but the people do, and the environment is what it is. With Landscapes, you are fighting the elements, but your exposure is (nearly) guaranteed, and your subject is likely going to be there if you need to go back another time. With Wildlife Photography, the only thing you can control is where you are, everything else is chance. You’re fighting the elements, your window of great light is relatively minimal, and your subject wants nothing to do with you 95% of the time. But when you have the patience, the drive, and the understanding that you’re bound to fail, all you have to do is wait for everything to fall into place…
